S.O.U.L. Photography
Calina photography also extends to providing workshops for inner city youths. Appropriately named S.O.U.L. Photography, meaning Speak Of Ur Life, will use photography as a motivational tool for creative expression. It will allow young people who may find it difficult to express themselves effectively through words to access their creative mind and discover ways of translating their words into imagery. By getting young people involved in extracurricular activities such as photography it adds to a well-rounded education, providing them with essential learning and communication skills. Working constructively in groups, being resourceful with their visual environment and gaining self-gratification through the success of their finished work that will then be displayed as an exhibition for a viewing audience.
S.O.U.L. photography will also help to direct young people away from destructive and anti-social behaviour, focusing their attention and energy on being proactive, productive and creative.
